New DHPC Messageboard
For those of you who aren’t aware, the old smartgroups messageboard is now being phased out and Pete has set up a new Google messageboard.
Here you will find all the latest news, info about upcoming events etc and other general discussions. Hopefully if enough of us use the system, we can start to let each other know where and when we will be flying if it looks flyable, this should help newly qualified pilots as well as XC flyers and prevent pilots from having to fly on their own.
So please visit: http://groups-beta.google.com/group/dales_hpc and sign up. You can choose to either read the posts and discussions on the internet or receive the posts by email. Its all easy to use and should be a good resource for the club.
Trophy Nominations
We’re looking for nominations for four of the trophies that get handed out at the Annual Dinner Dance. Obviously the committee can’t know everyone or what they’ve been up to and can sometimes be too senile to remember anyway.
So if you’ve know someone you think has earned any of the trophies below reply to me (contacts@dhpc.org.uk) with who and why you think they deserve it.
COCK OF THE DALES- most enthusiastic pilot
COCKCROFT CUP- most improved pilot
FAIRBROTHER TROPHY- pilots pilot
MARK SELLEN TROPHY- services to club
